SAN ANTONIO, TX – October 2017 – Falcona Management & Technology, LLC (Falcona) is excited to announce its continued support to the Prototype Integration Facility (PIF). The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) recently selected Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE) as the Prime contractor for the Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS) technical task order supporting the PIF. This $248 million task order has a performance period of 5 years. Falcona will provide technical support directly to the PIF under INTUITIVE to support the mission of providing rapid response and cost effective hardware solutions for Department of Defense and other Federal departments and agencies. Projects typically include the integration of technology into aviation and missile systems, but often have complementary applications to other air, ground, under-water, and sea defense systems.
As the task order incumbent, INTUITIVE has served as the PIF’s Prime contractor for AMCOM EXPRESS since 2010 across two different task orders. However, members of Falcona have supported the PIF, in some capacity, since the PIF’s start in 2002. Over the last 9 years, Falcona has demonstrated its ability to enable the PIF to rapidly field products directly to the Warfighter. In order to support the PIF’s mission, INTUITIVE has identified and teamed with a variety of different companies from across the United States that have unique, yet complementary, capabilities.
Falcona’s President, Dr. John Ayala, stated, “We are proud of the work we have done for the PIF over the last two decades, and we look forward to continuing our Subcontractor role in providing uninterrupted technical and engineering support for the PIF.”
